You did a great job on this game

Also shouldn't the lightning ability have an electric effect?

If you add one lol

Too perfect of a game, I fell like I do not deserve to play it, because of how good it is.

First suggestion; please add mobile controls: swipe the direction you want to move(swipe up to do nothing)(or create a d-pad), click the character(you) to turn around, and tap the screen(maybe twice for precision)to attack, or you could make buttons for everything.

Second suggest; Make stuff have procedural generation like an endless mode so the game still is satisfactory after beaten.

Many thanks for reading this.

Amazing game, can't wait until the full version is released

The internet's worst games journlists' enjoyed this game the most.

I love the mechanics, the simple gameplay and the tuff difficulty. Good job.

Definitely the Android version should come as well. Look like simple, but it's a difficult game, well done.

I cannot believe it took me sleeping for all of five minutes and then waking up at 3 AM to beat this. I am sleep deprived, but I won! Incredible game

Really enjoyable and easy to learn. Thoroughly enjoyed playing :)

Itch.io is one of the best games I've ever played.

I've played this game for hours now, good game

Ronin literally means wanderer. Why are they separate classes?

well their separate cuz one is English version and another is (I think) Japanese version, I actually have no idea though.

what happened to the double strike attack?

It's still there?

My bad. I got it. lol

Where is the music from, or was it self written?

This is an amazing game! Truly very well done.

could you make it where we can use a button to turn aroun

its the W key....

thank you

I finally beat this game completely. I spent months playing this game and just now I finally hit 100% with each character I got each badge.

The assassin was definitely the hardest. I spent literally months and so many hours playing this little game.

HOLY CRAP

Love it, works great. I feel you could add two more spaces and it would still be fun, it i did three runs and it felt good however it doesnt keep my attention very long as there is no story element and the progression of card building isn't strong enough to keep me playing. Maybe adding more effects and a better sound could help with the card reveal, maybe a card turning animation too!

This shit goes hella hard.  Would love to see more bonuses for combo focusing towards higher gold income in fights.  Everything about it is super fun though, just wish it was a little bit longer.  Even if its a lot of repeats of enemies etc, or you can only take one skill to the following zone with increased difficulty.

Regardless Fantastic stuff, almost everything has an amazing use in combat, from smoke on bosses, to pre trapping, to lightning sniping one hp archers, and freeze buying the time neccesary on the later portions where one hitting is no longer feasible unless you're prepositioned.

Also sidenote/appreciation for the ability to hurt yourself for gold being a consistent location to travel to is a lot of fun for a more difficult but well funded run.   With a few more locations other than fights in the mix I can totally see this working out in a fantastic classic roguelike progression, would love to see that realized!

There's actually a full version that's much longer, with a full 9 (soon to be 10) different regions to traverse with unique enemies and bosses, and a scaling Ascension system to make future playthroughs more challenging!

Available, but not free. The game is totally worth the money though

best game i have ever played awsome. could you possibly add torii's as tps for the map. that would be great also could you add a potion that lets you control an enemy.

second to last thing PLS BUFF the bosses they are fun but traps can get them prettey easly

last thing could you make it so you could make your own enimies that would be super fun for replayability

Played the heck out of the demo on Steam and just had to buy it. Good luck with development. Shogun Showdown has massive potential to be the next big indie cult hit.

I've been playing this game for hours! Is there more coming to this game? I see the last dev log was over a year ago so I just have to ask. Good game! 10/10

The version here on itch.io is the alpha. I've been working on a full version of the game, which is now in early access on steam :)

this game is 🔥

I love this game but I would much prefer to play it on mobile. Any plans for a mobile release? It would work great with gesture controls!

(+1)

I really like the game if you are going to keep developing it you might want to add a skill tree that you use skulls for, you might also want to fix the characters health and make it more even. One last thing, please add a story.

(1 edit)

I now look up, and view, what this game published in Steam, and he looks another, maybe in Steam a skill tree exists now, check it)

Amazing game, congrats! Hope seeing on steam on the final release!

The game does not work for me.

great  game

I was discussing this with my cousin and we thought it would a be a fun mode. We were thinking it would be fun to have an online 1v1 sort of mode, where you 1v1 another player in PvP combat. Each player can pick a character and a loadout of 3 or so weapons and 3 potions, then battle it out.

Absolute gem. After the first run that made me understand the simple but not stupid mechanics I got hooked!

Simple and pretty, like mini-chess with less random and pure skill
